The short film uses a lot wide and mid shots making sure that you can see the reactions of the actors . The film however  does not contain suspense, this is because it is part of the comedy genre. The comedy is mainly shown by the  dialogue which is scripted so that it matches the awkwardness of the situation the owner of the bicycle finds himself in. The film also contains ambient lighting which is conducive to a sit-com by creating a day to day environment.

The short film entitled  Rabbit Hole  is intertextual to the thriller genre; this is mainly because of the lighting. The lighting is very grey which is a very used part of the color spectrum in the said categorization of film. This also uses the natural grey's given by the mise en scene of the tunnel making the lighting of the video seem darker.
The short film also uses a fair number of close ups which are used to see reactions and immerse the audience into the suspense of the film. Even though the narrative is simplistic it creates a very uneasy feel as the effects used to make the film work have created an abstract environment; for example the dog is standing on the ceiling of the tunnel which  is a normal state; it makes the audience expect him to fall but he doesn't. This is reinforced by the dog's owner trying to get up on the ceiling to get his dog but the tunnel then shifts and the owner of the dog then finds himself on top of the ceiling when his dog is now in the right place.
