Technique Aspects of editing

  What do the numbers 16:9 refer to?
The aspect ratio 16 length 9 is the height 

         What is the frame size of a 1080p video file?
(      920 width
             If you have a video file which is 720:50p what is the frame rate and what does the p stand for? 
         progressive 

  
       What is the difference between p and i?
       Interlaced pixels refresh every other line in the image while progrsive refereshes al the pixisel in  a predetermined number of frames 


5       What frame rate is real film shot at?
6     23.986      
 
      What might be the advantage of shooting at a higher frame rate?
7    A higher frame rate will produce less motion blur allowing for better playback 
 
     What defines a lossy file?
     A way of compression that losses informtion that the computer deems unusefull

    Name three file types commonly used in video editing.
9   AVI, WAV, MOV
 
   What is the difference between a video file type and a codec?
      A file type is a container information wile A codec which means code decode is a a type of file that the computer to read other files
     What is bit rate?   
   The amount of information that is processed at any time
